The invention provides a complex comprising an active ingredient having a solubility in water of pH 6 or greater, of less than 5mg/ml, together with a polymer which comprises units derived from an acrylic acid or a salt thereof; provided that the active ingredient is not amphotericin B. Such complexes find utility in the solubilisation of highly insoluble active ingredients.
