PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connection structure and a connecting method capable of easily connecting an electronic component with an electric cable. SOLUTION: The connection structure includes an upper case 7 for retaining an LED chip 3 and a resistor 4 on an LED unit 1, a piercing terminal 6 for electrically connecting the LED chip 3 and the resistor 4 with a flat cable 100, a lower case 9, which is arranged on an opposite side of the flat cable 100, for mounting by fitting in the upper case 7 and sandwiching the flat cable 100, and an intermediate terminal 5 for retaining the LED chip 4 and the resistor 4 on the upper case 7 and connecting a wire with the piercing terminal 6. The intermediate terminal 5 includes two pairs of protruded spring sections 51, 52 formed in a protruded shape in response to the number of the LED chips 3 and the resistor 4 as electronic components. Protruded springs 51a, 52a of the protruded spring sections 51, 52 are locked on the upper case 7, and the LED chip 3 and the resistor 4 are pushed to the piercing terminal 6 on the other protruded springs 51b, 52b.
