PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet feeder and an image forming device, detecting the meandering of a continuous sheet. SOLUTION: The continuous sheet 204 is conveyed to a cutter unit part 201 for successively cutting the continuous sheet 204 along the direction orthogonal to the sheet feeding direction while forming slackness of the continuous sheet 204 by a slackness forming unit 202. A difference in slackness at both ends orthogonal to the sheet feeding direction of the continuous sheet 204 is detected by a slackness detection unit 202A provided on the slackness forming unit 202, and the meandering of the continuous sheet 204 is detected by a meandering detection unit, based on the difference in slackness at both ends of the sheet detected by the slackness detection unit 202A.
