PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an EPS device capable of effectively using the capacity of a nonvolatile storage for storing failure record data and enabling a strict failure analysis. SOLUTION: When a failure occurs in the electric power steering device, a plurality of types of data generated in drive control of the electric power steering device are stored as record data on the failure. The electric power steering device is provided with a nonvolatile storage means having a failure record data storage region for storing the plurality of types of data as record date on the failure when the failure occurs; a determination means for determining details of the failure when it occurs; and a control means for controlling processing to select data out of the plurality types of data and make the storage means store the selected data as record data on the failure based on the determined details of the failure.
