PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the cooling effect of a bearing and a magnetic flux generating mechanism arranged in a hollow interior of a roller body for inductively generating heat, with a simple structure without polluting the environment. SOLUTION: An induction heat generating roller device is formed by supporting a bottomed cylindrical roller body 21, in which the magnetic flux generating mechanism made of an induction coil 22 wound around the outer periphery of a cylindrical iron core 23 is arranged in the hollow interior, with the tip of a rotary shaft 26 passing through the hollow interior, and also by supporting the rotary shaft 26 with the bearing 29 mounted on a bearing housing 27 protruded into a hollow of the roller body 21. In a wall thickness of the bearing housing 27, a cooling fluid flow-through hole 27b, and a cooling annular fluid flow-through hole 27c surrounding the periphery of the bearing 29 communicating with this fluid flow-through hole 27b are provided, and moreover, an end surface of the iron core 23 of the magnetic flux generating mechanism is brought into close contact with the end surface of the bearing housing 27 for fixing and support. The bearing 29 and the iron core 23 are cooled by passing the cooling liquid through the fluid flow-through hole 27b and the annular fluid flow-through hole 27c. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
