PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting device capable of downsizing and hardly having loss of light. SOLUTION: The lighting device 10 is equipped with a light source part 14 which has an apparatus main body 11 having an opening part 11a at one end, a light source consisting of a semiconductor light-emitting element 12, and a light distribution control means 13 installed opposed to the light source and in which the light distribution control means is installed in the apparatus main body so as to be located in the opening part, a frame member 15 to cover the surrounding of the opening part, a battery 16 arranged in the apparatus main body, a lighting device 17 which is inputted with a DC voltage from the battery and lights the light source, an informing means 18 which displays the charging state of the battery by a lighting state and is installed in the opening part of the apparatus main body at a position that does not block the light emitted from the light distribution control means of the light source part, and an inspection switch 20 which checks lighting of the light source and of which operating part is installed in the opening part of the apparatus main body at a position that does not block the light emitted from the light distribution control means of the light source part.
