EFFICIENT METHOD FOR PREPARING MOMC (MONOCYTE-DERIVED MULTI-POTENT CELL)

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a practical method for mass-producing an MOMC which is a multi-potent cell extremely suitable for cell transplantation for organ regeneration.

SOLUTION: It is found that the MOMC can more efficiently be prepared by carrying out in vitro culture of a peripheral blood monocyte in the presence of SDF-1 (stromal derived factor 1) on fibronectin. Thereby, an accomplishment is achieved. That is, the method for preparing the MOMC comprises carrying out the in vitro culture of the peripheral blood monocyte expressing CD14 on the fibronectin and is featured by conducting the in vitro culture in the presence of the SDF-1.
