<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform control allowing securement of drivability during kickdown operation in a controller for a vehicle executing linear shift control. <P>SOLUTION: When determining acceleration from an operation amount of accelerator pedal, an accelerating target engine speed ninline is decided with vehicle speed when determining the acceleration as a starting point, and the linear shift control is executed (ST1-ST3). When a kickdown switch is turned on after the acceleration decision, the vehicle speed determining the accelerating target engine speed is reread, the accelerating target engine speed ninline is decided with vehicle speed when the kickdown switch is ON as the starting point, and the linear shift control is executed (ST4-ST5). Thus, by rereading the starting point deciding the accelerating target engine speed when the kickdown switch is ON, it becomes possible to always control arrival engine speed when the kickdown switch is ON to optimum engine speed (highest output engine speed) to improve the drivability. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
