<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact self-ballasted fluorescent lamp capable of increasing the discharge path length and capable of making the jointing portion of a divided globe inconspicuous. <P>SOLUTION: The compact self-ballasted fluorescent lamp is equipped with a cover 2 having a base 1 at one end, a globe 6 in which an aperture end 6d formed on the base end side is installed on the cover, has a maximum diameter portion 6c on the crown end 6g side and a small diameter portion 6e smaller than the maximum diameter portion on the base end side respectively, and the small diameter portion side and the crown end side are divided and mutually jointed, and a step portion 6h nearly parallel to the divided joining portion 6X3 is formed on the inner face on the small diameter portion side, an arc tube which is composed of a bulb 4d having a pair of electrodes contained in the globe and in which a light emittig tube 4 has a spiral shape portion 4a which is formed to have a portion larger in diameter than the inner diameter of the small diameter portion of the globe at the maximum diameter portion of the globe, and a lighting device 5 which is housed in the cover. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
