<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology attaining high thermal conductivity and high electrical conductivity at a low cost without lowering strength in a rubber composition containing a vapor deposited carbon fiber. <P>SOLUTION: The rubber composition is obtained by blending 1-50 pts.wt. of the vapor deposited carbon fiber having a fiber diameter of 20-120 nm, a fiber length of 2-20 μm and an aspect ratio of 20-1000, per 100 pts.wt. of a rubber component.
