PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively radiate UV light, to reduce UV-induced deterioration, to realize high water-proof performance and to reduce production cost in an UV radiating luminaire. SOLUTION: The luminaire 1 includes an UV radiating light source 2, a housing 3 containing the light source 2 and having an opening 30, a reflector 4 primarily reflecting light from the light source 2 onto the vicinity of the opening 30 and a front panel 5 radiating the primarily reflected light outward. The front panel 5 has a structure that a primarily reflected light converging area is made of quartz glass or fluororesin and the other area is made of a metal material. Owing to this structure, the UV light from the light source 2 is radiated to the outside of the luminaire with no multiple reflection to effectively radiate the UV light to an object to be radiated. Only the UV-converging area of the front panel 5 is made of quartz glass or fluororesin, so that the deterioration is reduced, the high water-proof performance is attained and the production cost of the luminaire 1 is reduced.
