PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce weight, lessen deformation of a gear part, and facilitate accurate drive control. SOLUTION: The image carrying drum includes: a drum cylindrical member 2 disposed in an image forming apparatus and having a peripheral face serving as an image carrying section 1a; a synthetic resin-made gear member 3 fitted on the end of the drum cylindrical member 2 and used to transmit rotating force from a rotating device to the drum cylindrical member 2; and a pivotal shaft 4 pivotally supporting the gear member 3 so that the gear member 3 is freely rotated around the shaft center, wherein the gear member 3 is configured by providing: the gear part 6 extending over the entire circumference of the periphery; an engaging cylindrical part 5 disposed in the center and externally engaged with the pivotal shaft 4; and a support plate 7 connecting the gear part 6 and the engaging cylindrical part 5 integrally; and a support disk 3B freely engaged with the inner peripheral part of the gear part 6 and supporting the gear part 6 from the inner circumference side of the gear part 6.
