GREENING METHOD FOR LEVEE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a greening method for a levee suitable for being employed for protection of the slope surface of a levee or the like and landscape maintenance, making supplied ground-cover plants rapidly and strongly grow, and excellent in weedproofing effect. SOLUTION: The greening method for a levee comprises transplanting seedlings of the ground-cover plants seeded/raised in a cell tray charged with coated granular fertilizer-containing culture soil, wherein the coated granular fertilizer-containing culture soil is characterized by using a mixture of the coated granular fertilizer and the raising seedling culture soil which are regulated so that an amount of nitrogen components leached out from the coated granular fertilizer during the raising seedling period from the seeding period to the transplanting period accounts for at most 30 and at least 1 mg per 100 mL of the raising seedling culture soil.
