The assembly has a fan blade (10) with a damper (20) that is fixed in a housing (14) formed in a lower surface of a platform (12) of the fan blade. The housing has an upstream side perpendicular to a base of the fan blade. The damper has a front edge (21) with a transversal side (21A) parallel to the upstream side of the housing and an inclined side (21B) inclined with respect to the upstream side of the housing. The transversal side (21A) is abutted against the upstream side. An independent claim is also included for a method for calibrating a damper of a fan blade and damper assembly.
