METHOD FOR DIAGNOSING IMPAIRED VENOUS RETURN FROM CRANIAL CAVITY

A method for diagnosing the impaired venous return from the cranial cavity comprises the extracranial Dopplerography with the measurement of the quantitative and qualitative parameters of blood flow in the internal jugular vein and the vertebral venous plexus. Furthermore, transcranial duplex scanning is performed with the measurement of the quantitative parameters of blood flow in the Rosenthal vein, Galen vein and the tentorial sinus. The increased rate parameters in the intracranial veins suggest the impaired venous return from the cranial cavity.
