The invention relates to a wind energy installation (30) comprising a wind wheel (1), the driving power of the wheel being transmitted to a vertical shaft (10) by means of an angular gear (5), and to a compressor (11) of a heat pump by means of a transmission stage (21) and a drive belt (26). The compressor (11) is a component of a heat circuit comprising, in addition to a plurality of lines receiving a heating/cooling agent, a condenser (12), an expansion element (14), and an evaporator (13) with which an earth collector (22) is associated, for exploiting the earth and/or groundwater heat. To this end, the heat pump is arranged in a region of the mast (6) close to the ground. A recirculation pump (29, 25) is respectively associated with the condenser (12) and the evaporator (13). The condenser (12) is connected to a heat accumulator (15) arranged in a building (27) and comprising an additional electrical heating group. The compressor (11) of the heat pump is also connected to an electric drive (19) which enables the compressor (11) to be operated in a driving manner, and can be connected as required by means of a coupling (20) comprising a mechanical freewheel, in order to be able to use the wind energy installation (30) even when it is only slightly windy, in addition to the emergency supply function when there is no wind. The wind wheel (1) and the drive (19) can be especially operated in parallel, with a variable distribution of the drive power. The wind energy installation (30) also comprises a generator (18) for producing thermal and/or electrical energy as required, and especially for supplying a control system (16) of the wind energy installation (30). |
