The invention relates to a plastic cover for a metal drink-containing can, the top section of which has a canted edge, which plastic cover comprises a top part (1) and a skirt (2) which can be latched on the above-mentioned canted edge and is provided with a gripping ring (4) attached to the outside periphery of the cover by means of at least one hinge joint in the form of a projection (5), wherein said gripping ring (4) is additionally connected to the outside periphery of the cover by means of at least one breakable or detachable jumper (8), positioned at a distance from the above-mentioned at least one hinge joint. The metal drink-containing can, the top of which is closable by the inventive cover, is also disclosed.
