摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a thermoelectric conversion element allowing a specific orientation of the thermoelectric conversion element to be easily arranged toward a flow direction of heat even when it is difficult to recognize the specific direction from the surface shape of the thermoelectric conversion element; a thermoelectric conversion module using the thermoelectric conversion element; and a manufacturing method of a thermoelectric conversion module. SOLUTION: The shape of the thermoelectric conversion element 10 is a hexahedron, wherein the reflectances to light of two surfaces a1 and a2 facing each other are different from those of the other four surfaces b1, b2, b3 and b4. This thermoelectric conversion module includes: a plurality of p-type thermoelectric conversion elements and a plurality of n-type thermoelectric conversion elements; and a plurality of electrodes electrically connecting end surfaces of the respective pairs of the plurality of p-type thermoelectric conversion elements and the plurality of n-type thermoelectric conversion elements to each other, and alternately and electrically serially connecting the plurality of p-type thermoelectric conversion elements and the plurality of n-type thermoelectric conversion elements. At least either of the n-type and p-type thermoelectric conversion elements is the thermoelectric conversion element 10, and the two surfaces a1 and a2 facing each other are respectively jointed to the electrodes.
