PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mist generator efficiently supplying mist to a desired mist supply object area of a bathroom or the like by appropriately suppressing the generation of many liquid droplets by the mist acting on the peripheral part of the installation part when it is installed above the area and used. SOLUTION: The mist generator MG comprises a case 1 provided with collision wall parts 12 and a mist jetting port 13, and a rotor 2 for generating the mist by scattering toward the collision wall parts 12 and collision. The mist jetting port 13 is formed at the peripheral wall part of the case 1 so as to be communicated with the gap of the collision wall parts 12, and at least a part of the mist jetting port 13 is opened in the area of a height lower than the liquid collision part n1 of the collision wall parts 12. Of the peripheral wall part of the case 1, on the upper side of the mist jetting port 13, a wall part 11 for a mist stopper which closes the upper side part and suppresses the passing of the mist from the inside of the case 1 to the outside is provided.
