PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic mail communication apparatus can shortening user's waiting time for transmitting various electronic data as an electronic mail as much as possible. SOLUTION: The electronic mail communication apparatus which is connectable to a mail server and can transmitting an electronic mail includes: a connection test execution means for performing a detailed connection test necessary for establishing connection between the electronic mail communication apparatus and the mail server in response to a user's first instruction input; and a mail transmission means for performing a simple connection test simpler than the detailed connection test between the electronic mail communication apparatus and the mail server in response to a user' second instruction input, and thereafter transmitting prescribed electronic data to the mail server as an electronic mail when the simple connection test succeeds.
