PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for sampling rod-like articles brought to be able to carry out the sampling by greatly reducing influence to physical characteristics of the rod-like articles, even when laminating flow of the rod-like articles is brought to have a high speed. SOLUTION: The device (1) for sampling cigarettes is equipped with a probe head (16) attached to the slide guide block (8) of a lift arm (6) via a pair of guide rods (10) and a head holder (14), and the probe head (16) is movable in the vertical directions and is turnable to the slide guide block (8), to cushion contact to cigarettes (C) in a laminating flow (LF) of the cigarettes (C), and has a scooping groove (26) for removing the cigarettes (C) so as to scoop up from the laminating flow (LF).
