Prawn sorting device comprising a conveyor belt (10) designed to convey said prawns (11), this belt travelling in a conveying direction (D). In planes perpendicular to the conveying direction (D) and in the direction of travel (S) of the belt, the belt (10) is inclined progressively with respect to the horizontal (H), so that at least some of the prawns (11) slide over the belt (10) and leave the belt via a lateral edge (10b) of the belt. Collecting means (B1, B2, B3) arranged at intervals along said lateral edge (10b) collect the prawns (11) separately as they leave the belt (10) at different locations along the lateral edge (10b) of the belt.
