PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an opening and closing device which enables the opening motion of an opening and closing body by the pressure of a fluid from a fire hose etc., and which can prevent the leakage of the fluid by shortening piping. SOLUTION: This opening and closing device comprises an opening and closing body 10 which can make opening and closing motions by sliding in a vertical direction, and a rotator 61b which can be rotated by the pressure of the fluid flowing into an inflow port 61a1. The opening and closing device enables the opening motion of the opening and closing body 10 by the rotational force of the rotator 61b. The rotator 61b is arranged on the lower side of the opening and closing device, and the rotational force of the rotator is transferred to the upper side of the opening and closing device by a rotational force transfer means 62.
