PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation apparatus which can perform appropriate guide route search in accordance with the demand of a user when a travel caution point exists in which there is a possibility of people or animals crossing a road frequently and caution is required for the travel of a vehicle. SOLUTION: A control section 102 acquires road information and travel caution point information and, on the basis of these, specifies a road in which a travel caution point exists. The control section 102 performs guide route search with the cost of the road in which the travel caution point exists increased.
