PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical head device suppressing higher-order resonance in a lens holder for stable servo. SOLUTION: The optical head device has a lens holder 80 that is movably supported in tracking and focusing directions and is formed long in the tracking direction. In the lens holder 80, a space 80a for rising mirrors and a hole 80b for optical paths are formed. The space 80a for rising mirrors is provided in the focusing direction to the objective lens, and a rising mirror is inserted into the space 80a for rising mirrors. The hole 80b for optical paths leads to the space 80a for rising mirrors in a direction orthogonally crossing both the tracking and focusing directions and ensures an optical path of light passing through a collimate lens. The lens holder 80 has a wall section 80c at a side opposite to the hole 80b for optical paths to the space 80a for rising mirrors.
