PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lifesaving light emitting device having easily reduced size and weight while using one LED for reducing power consumption when emitting light for a long time. SOLUTION: On a casing 10 storing a battery and a power supply circuit, a projection part cover 12 is provided which is light-transmissive from an emitter 15. The casing 10 stores an emission part 14 consisting of the emitter 15 using a white chip type LED and a light scattering tool 16 laid on the emitter 15 and formed in a bottomed cylinder shape with its top end closed.
