This aims to provide a coating apparatus comprising a coating unit (A) for spraying a liquid binding agent to grains being transferred in a coating chamber (94), thereby to coat the grains with the binding agent, an adhering unit (B) for adding a powdery coating material to the grains being transferred in an adhering chamber (67), thereby to adhere the powdery coating material to the binding agent layers of the grains, and a drying unit (C) including a drying chamber (40) for transferring the grains while agitating the same, a hot-wind draft duct (34) for feeding a hot wind to the inside of the drying chamber, and a hot-wind exhaust duct for exhausting the hot wind.
