PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic transistor having a high mobility and a large current on/off ratio, and exhibiting excellent storage stability. SOLUTION: In the organic transistor having an organic semiconductor layer, at least one of compounds represented by general formula (1) is contained in the organic semiconductor layer. In the formula (1), X<SB>1</SB>to X<SB>10</SB>are each independently a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a straight chain, branched or cyclic alkyl group, a straight chain, branched or cyclic alkoxy group, or a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group, and X<SB>1</SB>and X<SB>2</SB>, X<SB>2</SB>and X<SB>3</SB>, X<SB>3</SB>and X<SB>4</SB>, X<SB>5</SB>and X<SB>6</SB>, X<SB>6</SB>and X<SB>7</SB>, or X<SB>7</SB>and X<SB>8</SB>may be joined with each other to form a substituted or unsubstituted benzene ring. R<SB>1</SB>and R<SB>2</SB>are each independently a hydrogen atom, a straight chain, branched or cyclic alkyl group, a straight chain, branched or cyclic alkoxy alkyl group, or a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group.
