A lithium ion polymer battery is provided to prevent an internal short generated when an outmost electrode in an electrode assembly comes into contact with an electrode lead upon falling, thereby ensuring battery safety. A lithium ion polymer battery includes an electrode assembly(300) having a separator interposed between a positive electrode and a negative electrode, wherein the same separator(600,610) as the separator constituting the electrode assembly adheres to the outer surface of an outmost electrode in the electrode assembly. The separator occupies more than 30% of an area in the whole surface of the outmost electrode from the top thereof. |
