The cell (1) has a flexible tubular envelope (2) closed at its ends (3, 4) in a longitudinal direction, where the envelope defines an inflatable chamber (8) between walls of the envelope. A fluid introduction tube (5) introduces inflating fluid e.g. gas, in the chamber, and a fluid discharge tube (6) discharges the fluid from the chamber, where the tubes are sealed at one of the ends. A connection unit i.e. tab (7) connects the cell to another identical cell, where the tab is integrated to the envelope. The envelope is formed of a portion of a tube or a sheath of thermoplastic material. An independent claim is also included for a method for fabricating an inflatable cell. |
