PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roll paper feed mechanism capable of delivering a recording paper from a roll paper with a stable delivering force even when a roll diameter varies. SOLUTION: A delivering roller 33 and first to third guide rollers 34 to 36 are arranged on the bottom of the roll paper storage part 32 of the roll paper feed mechanism 3. The delivering roller 33 is positioned on a side opposite to the delivering side of the recording paper 2a with respect to the center of gravity of the roll paper 2. While the outside diameter of the roll paper 2 is large, the roll paper 2 is stably supported by the delivering roller 33 and first guide roller 34. When the outside diameter of the roll paper 2 becomes small, the roll paper 2 is stably supported by the delivering roller 33 and second guide roller 35. When the outside diameter of the roll paper 2 becomes further small, the roll paper 2 is supported by the delivering roller 33 and third guide roller 36. Accordingly, the roll paper 2 can be stably placed on the delivering roller 33, and the recording paper 2a can be delivered with the stable delivering force by rotatively driving the roll paper 2 by the delivering roller 33.
