PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charger capable of cleaning foreign matter deposited onto a large-diametric part for forming a minute clearance between a photoreceptor drum and a charged roller stably over a long period, without increasing rotation resistance. SOLUTION: A cleaning part 2 is provided with a cleaning body 21 formed of a rubber material having a hardness lower than a hardness of the large-diametric part 13a substantially plate-likely with a width slightly longer than an axial-directional length of the large-diametric part 13a, and a plate spring 23 with the other end side fixed on an upper face of the cleaning body 21 and for energizing the cleaning body 21 onto the large-diametric part 13a. The cleaning part 2 is provided to direct a tip of the cleaning body 21 to a direction reverse to a rotational direction of the large-diametric part 13a, and to position a bottom face tip part 21a of the cleaning body 21 in a position on a perpendicular line Y connecting the center of a photoreceptor and the center of the large-diametric part 13a, or in a position in the vicinity thereof, in an opposite side of an abutting position of the photoreceptor drum 3 to the large-diametric part 13a, out of an outer circumferential face of the large-diametric part 13a formed in the charged roller 1.
