A method for providing an oxidatively stable cuphea derived emollient composition having a relatively high tricaprin concentration is disclosed. Various features and specifications may be controlled, adapted or otherwise modified to improve the application and utilization of cuphea oil and cuphea oil derivatives as emollients. The present invention generally provides cosmetic, personal cares and other topical preparation ingredients having improved oxidative stability as well as other desirable characteristics as compared with naturally derived emollient and/or synthetic emollient alternatives.
