A method of accurately predicting change in time of film filtration resistance caused when a liquid to be filtered is filtered through a film, change in time of inter-film differential pressure, change in time of a film filtration flux or change in time of a film filtration flow rate. When the film filtration continues while controlling the film filtration flow rate (flux) or the inter-film differential pressure to a set value in a film filtration method for filtering by a separation film using the inter-film differential pressure as driving force, the change in time of the film filtration resistance, the inter-film differential pressure or the film filtration flow rate (flux) is predicted. The method includes a step (1a) of calculating a constituent quantity value of the filtered liquid attaching to the surface of the separation film at time (t+?t), a calculation step (1b) of calculating the constituent quantity value of the filtered liquid present in pores of the separation film, a calculation step (1c) of calculating pressure density of the constituent of the filtered liquid attaching to the surface of the separation film, a calculation step (2) of calculating the film filtration resistance value, a calculation step (3) of calculating the inter-film differential pressure value and a calculation step (4) of calculating the film filtration flow rate (flux) value.
