<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a moving image reproducing method for reducing the covering of important information on a master picture with a slave picture in picture-in-picture display when movement of a photographing target is relatively small and even when the photographing target is arranged at the center. <P>SOLUTION: In the moving image reproducing method for displaying the slave picture by compositing the slave picture on the master picture having a plurality of blocks to reproduce a moving image, first, the motion vector of each block of the master picture is calculated on the basis of a plurality of frames of the master picture.
