PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To switch the microscope optical element positioned with a click mechanism by using a small torque stepping motor without making it step out. SOLUTION: This positioning unit includes a stepping motor 41 to turn the optical path change turret 11, V grooves 11a to 11d formed on optical path change turret 11, and a click mechanism 21 to press the V grooves 11a to 11d from a direction different from the turning direction. The stepping motor 41 turns at a slow speed for a predetermined period after starting. The invention is applicable to a microscope. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
