摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a furnace atmosphere control method for a heating furnace capable stabilizing a furnace atmosphere even when quickly lowering a furnace temperature, and capable of maintaining quality of steel products and preventing smoke generation. SOLUTION: The method is for controlling a furnace atmosphere of the heating furnace 10 having a preheating zone, a heating zone, and a soaking zone. A first flow regulating valve is provided in a main pipe 10 for supplying combustion air to a burner 1 provided in at least the soaking zone, and a second flow regulating valve is provided in a bypass pipe with a smaller diameter than the main pipe and communicated with the main pipe. It is characterized by that when carrying out control of a flow rate of combustion air to be supplied to the burner to a value lower than a predetermined value, an opening of the first flow regulating valve is set at zero percent, and the flow rate of the combustion air is controlled only by opening regulation of the second flow regulating valve.
