The dynamo-electric machine 1, including a stator 2 in the bore of which revolves a rotor carrying an inductor winding, itself swivelling in bearings of two end flanges 3 and 4 in the extension of one, forming a covering sleeve 31, of which is housed the stator 2 and against which is fixed the other end flange 4 fitting one into the other, is notable in that the stator 2 is housed with some radial play 5 in its supporting end flange 3 while being fixed rigidly in air on a front surface 32 made inside the said supporting end flange 3 against which it is fixed. <IMAGE>
