PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide aluminum material for molding a cap to be used for a container including a bottle can, which can improve retort resistance of a resin coating film on aluminum material by preventing cracking by stress when working on an ink printed on the resin coating film on the aluminum material. SOLUTION: The aluminum material has aluminum material as base material, and comprises a resin coating film layer formed on the surface, an ink layer formed on the resin coating film layer and a water-soluble cellulose layer formed on the ink layer. By setting the water-soluble cellulose layer so that dry coating film weight may be 0.1g/m<SP>2</SP>to 5g/m<SP>2</SP>, cracking when working is prevented and the retort resistance is improved.
