摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a conventional air cleaning apparatus can not exert catalytic activity to decompose a gas to be treated unless a catalyst temperature is higher than 200&deg;C, and not only needs a lot of energy to heat the catalyst higher than 200&deg;C, but also is not suitable for mounting into an electric appliance used for general house hold because of a considerably high temperature of the air just after passed through the apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: A Co/Mn/Ag air cleaning agent 12 is obtained by the successive steps of immersing a honeycomb structure 11 for three minutes into a Co/Mn/Ag solution prepared by adding and stirring cobalt nitrate hexahydrate, manganese nitrate hexahydrate, and silver nitrate into an ion-exchange water, removing a remaining liquid, drying in air at room temperature for five minutes, and calcining at 350&deg;C for two hours.
