<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication device provided with DNS (domain name system) proxy function which effects name resolution efficiently under a condition connected to various network forms. <P>SOLUTION: The communication device, capable of effecting IP (internet protocol) communication which carries out name resolution through one of DNS servers provided in a network, is provided with a memory means which stores in advance connection supplementary information and the domain name information associated with the connection supplementary information for accessing the DNS server capable of effecting the name resolution, a name resolution control means which detects the connection supplementary information corresponding to the domain name information contained in the input first name resolution demanding information from the memory means and a name solution proxy means which transmits the second name resolution demanding information containing the domain name information to the DNS server capable of resolving the name of the domain name information based on the connection supplementary information detected by the name resolution control means and receives the name resolution result information corresponding to the second name resolution demanding information from the DNS server. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
