PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem where during a thermal shock test for a touch panel set over the surface of a liquid crystal display panel at an interval, the touch panel warps toward the underlying liquid crystal display panel, and the lower surface of the touch panel touches the upper surface of the liquid crystal display panel to cause a nonuniform screen.
SOLUTION: A touch panel, in which first and second transparent substrates with transparent conductive films 9 and 10 formed on respective surfaces are opposed to each other via a sealant 6 and the second transparent substrate is set on the screen side of a display device, includes a polarizer 2 on the outer surface of the first transparent substrate and a transmissive surface member 7 that is optically isotropic and has substantially the same or larger thermal shrinkage factor than the polarizer 2 on the outer surface of the second transparent substrate. This prevents the touch panel 1 from touching the surface of the display device even during a thermal shock test.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
|
