PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flexible and highly safe failure detection circuit which can be used in a system and operation environment under various conditions. SOLUTION: A load drive element, which can detect disconnection (open) and a short circuit (short) of a load, is configured to allow the disconnection (open) detection value of the load and the short circuit (short) detection value of the load to be easily varied, with an adjusting element outside the elements.
