PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate glass welding under a high temperature atmosphere causing blunting of each constituting metal member by preventing coming out of a center shaft 2 to a base end side, to maintain material strength of each metal member to obtain an elongated shape. SOLUTION: A glow plug comprises a movement restraining means 20 formed by disposing an insulating support ring 10 to abut between a shaft hole step part 1g formed by a small diameter hole 1e and a large diameter hole 1f of a hollow shaft hole 1a of a housing 1 and a center shaft outer peripheral step part 2d formed on an outer peripheral part 2c of the center shaft 2. Upon removing a terminal connector D from a terminal 9 by the movement restraining means 20, the center shaft 2 is inhibited from coming out in the base end side direction by force in the base end direction acting on the center shaft 2. Conventional fixing of the center shaft 2 by glass welding can be eliminated, and the occurrence of blunting of each constituting metal member under high temperatures during glass welding can be prevented, so that the material strength can be maintained and the elongated shape can be achieved.
