PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a torque measuring instrument for a piledriving attachment dispensing with a need of building a reaction receiver on site and of separately carrying a torque measuring instrument in a factory, etc., and allows calibration work to be easily done on site. SOLUTION: A measuring instrument bar 36 is coupled detachably to a drive shaft 41 of a pile driving attachment 19 via a chuck unit 22. A reaction bracket 37 is placed on the ground, and a weight 48 and/or a work machine other than an excavator equipped with the pile driving attachment 19 is mounted on the reaction bracket 37 as a reaction receiving weight. A calibrating load cell 38 is disposed between the measuring instrument bar 36 and the reaction bracket 37. The measuring instrument bar 36 is rotated by a driving motor 20 of the piledriving attachment 19, and a display unit 39 calculates a torque from an output signal indicative of a measurement by the calibrating load cell 38 to output the calculated torque.
