PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To permit a throat plate to effectively demonstrate the fluff preventing effect for a cut material irrespective of dimensional tolerance and the like. SOLUTION: Each strip 10 forming the throat plate 7 is elastically supported, by leaf springs 12 provided in the escape groove 8, in a tilted posture to gradually rise from the outside to the center slit 11. The top surface of each strip 10 is protruded slightly above the top surface of the turntable 3. Accordingly when the cut material is positioned, the cut material presses down each strip 10 while resisting the urging energy of the leaf springs 12 and makes the top surface of each strip flush with the top surface of the turntable 3.
