摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrogen storage device capable of being easily filled with a hydrogen storage material at high density while maintaining high thermal conductivity to the hydrogen storage material, and a method of using the hydrogen storage device. SOLUTION: The hydrogen storage device includes a heat medium flow pipe 16 through which a heat medium passes, a plurality of heat conductive bodies 20 which transmits the heat of the heat medium flow pipe 16 to the hydrogen storage material 50, an attaching pipe 30 through which the heat medium flow pipe 16 is closely extended and to which the plurality of heat conductive bodies 20 are detachably connected, and an outer container receiving the heat medium flow pipe 16, the plurality of heat conductive bodies 20 and the attaching pipe 30 therein together with the hydrogen storage material 50 filled between the heat conductive bodies 20. Hydrogen is occluded and released by a function of the filled hydrogen storage material 50. A unitization step and a step of installing the unitized body in the outer container 40 and inserting the heat medium flow pipe 16 into the attaching pipe 30 are separated from each other so that the work of filling the hydrogen storage material 50 is facilitated.
