The present invention is directed to transgenic Drosophila and methods of use thereof. Provided herein are transgenic Drosophila line comprising genetic crosses of existing Drosophila lines, which, in various configurations, can serve as a metastatic model. Also provided herein are methods for high throughput screening of compounds using transgenic Drosophila of the invention. Also provided herein are methods for producing transgenic Drosophila of the invention.
