PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas wiping device where, even if warpage and twisting are generated in a strip, baffle plates can follow the edge faces in the width direction of the strip, thus the suppression of an edge overcoat can be attained. SOLUTION: Disclosed is a gas wiping device where, to a strip S continuously pulled up from a hot dip metal plating bath 11, a wiping gas is blown from wiping nozzles 13, thus a molten metal surplusly stuck to the surface of the strip S is removed, and the plating coating weight in the strip S is controlled to the prescribed one. The device is provided with baffle plates 14 separately installed so as to be confronted with the edge faces in the width direction of the strip S carried between the confronted wiping nozzles 13 and blocking the collision between the wiping gas flows in the outside space of the strip S, and when the tips of the baffle plates 14 follow the edge faces in the width direction of the strip S, the baffle plates 14 are made to rotate with the carrying direction of the strip S as the rotary axis.
