<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a computer-implemented method which tracks 3D positions of an object moving in a scene. <P>SOLUTION: A sequence of images is acquired by a set composed of a plurality of cameras from a scene so that each time instant a set of images are acquired of the scene, in which each image includes a plurality of pixels. Each set of images is aggregated into a synthetic aperture image including the pixels, and the pixels in each the set of images are matched corresponding to a plurality of locations and a plurality of depths of a target window with an appearance model to determine scores for the plurality of locations and the plurality depths.
